Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It is us!

R-Chee, Gilbert and Jimmie here wishing you and yours the most wonderful Turkey Day!

We are watching our parents cook and crochet the day away!

Football is on in the background and the house smells wonderful!

Boy!  They are sure working hard!

Quick guys... close your eyes and pretend we are sleeping so they won't ask us to lend a wing and a paw!

Wink Wink *

We are resting up for our big Thanksgiving feast!

Just ring the dinner bell when it is ready mom and dad!

We cannot wait!

Thank you everyone for being a part of our world!

We are so thankful for all of you and your friendship!

Please leave us a note and let us know what is on your menu and where you are enjoying your holiday today!

We cannot wait to hear all about it!

Mother Bear Sighting in South Africa! ~ R-Chee's Good Morning & Good Night Bear!

Good Morning Everyone!

R-Chee & I have magical news!

Our Good Morning & Good Night Mother Bear that we made in September was just spotted in South Africa with his new little boy loving him!

He is our newest bear that we made with one side saying good morning and the other saying goodnight!

Each side of the bear has a different set of jammies on and expression!

We had so much FUN making him for The Mother Bear Project!

It always makes our hearts sing to make bears for them!

R-Chee and I sent him off in September with a kiss!

... and now he is getting hugs in his new home!

Simply Magic!

What wonderful things are you doing this week?

Are you traveling or staying home for Thanksgiving?

Fred and I are staying here and crocheting while we watch football, cook and play with Jimmie, Gilbert and R-Chee.

Please leave us a note and let us know your plans!

We cannot wait to hear all about them!

We are so thankful for you and your friendship everyday!

FUN Friday News! New Feathers in the Family! Meet Jimmie!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Oh MY Gosh!

I am so excited to introduce you to...

He is our beautiful new Parakeet we just adopted into our family!

He is only 2 months old, hatched on September 24, 2013!

It was so hard to keep him as a surprise for you!

The only thing that made it possible was that I did not even know if he was a boy or a girl and what to name him until we brought him home Tuesday night as he was too young to sex at that time!

He has his baby feathers and coloring right now but his face will be yellow and tummy, blue-violet.

He will also get a fluffier crown on the top of his head and loose the baby stripes that now reach down to his nare.

The dark spot on his beak will also go away as he matures in the coming months too!

He is hand fed and is already stepping up on my fingers!

I cannot wait to teach him to talk!

He and Gilbert are in separate cages and always will be, but they sing to each other and are very happy to have each other in the same family!

I was shocked when Jimmie's breeder told me our baby would have a yellow face and blue tummy as they are much more rare and I had recently created this image just for FUN in a collage just a few weeks ago!

I woke up one morning and just started making it!

It turns out it was Jimmie!

How amazing is that?

I saw him in my mind and recreated him on paper without even knowing it!

Life is Art ... Art is Life!

I made a birdie cage cover for both Gilbert and Jimmie to celebrate!

They are both made from twin sized flat sheets in retro colors that I got at the thrift store for $2!

To make Jimmie's I made a fabric recreation of the collage and sewed it on top and Gilbert's got orange pom poms!

Gilbert, Fred, Archie and I are so excited to welcome him home!

Thank you so much everyone for sharing in the FUN & excitement with us!

R-Chee cannot wait until he starts talking!

He plans on teaching him to say...

Give R-Chee a cookie!

What FUN things do you have planned for this weekend?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We cannot wait to hear all about it!

Friday Funnies ~ The Fibers of Life Connect Us All Together!

Happy Friday Everyone!

It is me...

Reporting here from my cozy kitchen with my parrotlet brother...
Gilbert! :)

We have a FUN story for you of how we are really all connected by one very long piece of yarn!

My discovery of this wonderful thing happened when I heard the story my momma told me of her adventure to a real life yarn bombing installation right here in Denver at our Art Museum!

She loves seeing pictures of these beautiful works of art where fiber artists all over the world decorate objects with fiber art that they create to leave to share their art, color and lots smiles with everyone!

My pawrents had never seen one in person so when The heard about the one hung at the Denver Art Museum celebrating the show SPUN, they jumped in the car and off they went!

Look at this crocheted masterpiece waving at us!

Isn't it fabulous!

Momma and Dad could not believe how detailed and huge it was!

They had so much FUN admiring it from all angles!

When they got home, they could not stop talking about it!

Momma was so excited that she immediately sent the photos to her friend Lynne in the UK and told her all about their adventure!

Lynne & Elliot told her there was a yarn bombing installation at a beach not far from her home in the UK in Saltburn!

See a video and read more about it here:

 Isn't is amazing?

What a generous thing for someone to create and leave in the elements for everyone to enjoy!

We got happy goosebumps when we saw Auntie Lynne's photos!

It is proof that we are really all connected together by one very long piece of fiber!

Life is Art... Art is LIFE!

What FUN things are you doing this weekend?

My pawrents along with Auntie Melanie and Uncle Mark are going to another kind of show in Denver this weekend that we will get to tell you about really soon!

It will have another exciting story attached with it and we cannot wait until it unfolds so we can share it with you too!

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We cannot wait to hear all about it!
