Circle in A Square Pillow ~ Orange

Happy Monday everyone!

R-Chee and I are so excited to show you our second Circle in a Square Pillow!

I loved making the back granny square as much as the front!

I got to go "shopping" in my yarn stash and pull out all sorts of wonderful woolly leftovers from other projects and GoodWill finds that I have been saving over the last few months for the perfect project!

Ta Da!

I put my new giant pillow on my crochet chair in the family room so now I have an orange one upstairs and a yellow one downstairs in the pug cave to keep me comfy in both of my favorite places to crochet. :)

What FUN things have you been working on this Summer?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We cannot wait to hear all about them!

My mom and I are starting the day with pug hugs and smiles and want to share them with all of you too! :)

My dad captured these FUN moments today for us!

We are so excited about them!
Last week he went to my mom's favorite art camp ~ Anderson Ranch and studied Location Lighting and The Environmental Portrait with Jamey Stillings.

He had an amazing week and learned so much that he can now apply to his craft in every shot!

Always follow our passions!

It will always spread more
Inspiration, learning and sharing!

It is what makes the world go 'round and 'round! ;)

Customer Photo Gallery ~ S'More Puggies Please!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have a Deeelisush pug family to share with you today! :)

Meet Macho, Marshmellow & Mochi!

Their wonderful mom, Yumee H., describes her trio of black, white and fawn puggies as her little S'More sandwich!

Isn't that a positively perfect description? :)

She just sent us this fabulous photo of them all cuddled up together like they would around a campfire enjoying their 36" x 42" dog bed (Pug Design A11).

Their photo made our whole week and we had to share it with you too!

R-Chee and I LOVE it when you share your photos and stories with us!

Circle in a Square Pillow ~ Yellow

Happy Monday everyone!

I have been making the Bullseye ~ Circle in a Square ~ squares that I hinted to you about a few weeks ago into more pillows for the pug cave!

I just LOVE how they turned out!

This yellow pillow with the bobble row backing is the first one from a set of two that I have made!

I will show you the second one next Monday!

I had so much FUN just making rows and rows of bobbles in a giant 20 x 20 square to cover the pillow form I had waiting to be repurposed!

Ta Da!

After I was done making the two squares to the size I needed to sandwich the pillow insert, I used Snowdrop Chunky yarn to single crochet a FUN edging all the way around!

Easy Smeasy!

Here are all of the pillows I have made for the PUG Cave so far!

Sunflower Owl ~ Round Bobble Pillow ~ Yellow Circle in a Square!

I think the last one will have to live upstairs in my other favorite place to crochet in the evenings or I will not have any room to sit down to work!

Ha!

I'll show you that one exactly one week from today! :)

What FUN things are you working on right now?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

R-Chee & I cannot wait to hear all about them!

Friday Funnies ~ Class is in Session: Foodie 101

Happy Friday everyone!

Today is Foodie Friday and class is in session!

I am learning from the best foodie in the whole world!

My Dad!

He has been a foodie since he was a little kid like me!

He loves to tell the story of how when he was 6 years old and his little brother was 4, they were sitting in a restaurant with their parents and 3 other famillies.

They were at the little kids' table and the waitress asked what they all wanted for dinner.

The other kids ordered first...

PB & J, Hamburger, Hamburger, Cheeseburger and when they got to Fred, he ordered the Lobster Newburg & 4 year old Greg ordered Frog Legs!

I think the Langers always liked to eat out and always wanted Fred & Greg there with them.  They became expert foodies very quickly!

The Langer family may not have gone to Disneyland on Summer vacations, but they sure did enjoy fine dining all year long! :)

I have a lot of learn'n to do to catch up to my dad!

Don't worry, Possum Stew is not on the menu, but my dad did grow up eating lots of...

and...

Oh my goodness!

I hope he does not wake up for a midnight snack tonight!

I may be on the menu because I sure am deeelishus!

Ha!
What FUN things do you have planned this weekend?

Please leave me a note and let me know!

I cannot wait to hear all about them!

New Wool Roving Fiber Bowl ~ Yellow Grey & White

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am so excited to show you my newest crochet wool bowl project!

Last week I showed you my orange volcano and fireworks red, white & blue yarn bowls.

Today, I get to unveil my egg inspired yellow and white bowl!

I just love how it turned out!

It is so fluffy and happy!

It is so bright & sunny that I put it in the sunroom so that I can enjoy seeing it all day!

I think it goes perfectly with all of my other fiber creations and  pug doll collection! :)

Archie thinks that all of these bright breakfasty colors deserve another round of brekkies with a big plate of scrambled eggs with a large glass of orange juice to wash them down!

I would have to agree Archie!

Coming right up!

What FUN things are you doing today?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We cannot wait to hear all about them!

Our Tuesday Tuni Tribute ~ Holding Paws

Happy Tuesday everyone!

We are celebrating Tuni today!

Thank you Winston for organizing this pawsome tribute.

Tuni is a very special puggy and is hugging all of us from over the rainbow today.

Your tribute day allows us all to connect our rainbow colors together!

We are holding everyone's paws and smiling today as we remember Tuni and all the love she has shared with us over the years.

We would also like to take this moment to remember and honor all of our other friends who have gone over the rainbow this year.

We love you and are so lucky to have you forever imprinted on our hearts.

New Yarn Painting ~ Pug On a Red Rug

Happy Monday everyone!

I am so excited to show you the new yarn painting I just finished!

I have titled it Pug on a Red Rug, and I had so much FUN making it!

I took lots of photos while I worked to show you the process of him popping to life from a photo to a yarn painting.

All you need is a drawing or photo that you would like to fill in with yarn.

It can be an abstract, landscape or figure... whatever you enjoy most!

I love yarn painting.

It is FUN, relaxing and there is not a right or wrong way to work. :)

You will find little tricks that you like as you go.

One thing I like is to plan the shapes I want to fill in so that I can relax into the process easily.

To do this, I always go ahead and place the fine defining lines in before the larger filling in begins to make sure I do not forget to put them in.

Ta Da!

I just love how it turned out!

I have made this image available on note cards and signed prints in my Etsy Shop for you to enjoy.

I love it when friends share their stories and photos of what they are working on.

Recently my friends Georgie and Lynne showed me their yarn paintings.

Please let me know if you make one too!

I would love to see and feature it on the blog too!
