New Yarn Painting ~ Black Pug with Yellow Ball

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited to show you my latest yarn painting!
I just finished this little black pug with a yellow ball to go with his fawn pug buddy ready to play too with his red ball.

Both pugs are from my original paintings Pug Designs A18 and A23.

I took lots of photos to show you how I made him...

Both the playful fawn and black pug yarn paintings are available in my etsy shop.

You can purchase them as:

Yarn paintings are so much fun to create because you can use a drawing, painting or photograph to create your image.

I have already started my next yarn painting from a photograph that I will be able to show you soon!

What fun things do you have planned today?

Please leave us a note and let us know.

Archie and I cannot wait to hear all about it!

Thanking our Troops One Rectangle at a Time

Hi everyone!

It is me....

Archie!
I am so excited to show you the first rectangles I helped my mom make for our troops to welcome them home and keep them warm.

We made seven 6x9 rectangles for The Handmade Afghan Project.

These rectangles will be joined with others made with love from all over the country to create warmth and love for our troops as a huge thank you for everything they do!

We tied them together with a tiny heart from Lucy of Attic 24's wonderful pattern!

My mom and I love projects that combine the work of hundreds of people to make a difference.

We can all do one small thing everyday to make someone smile and brighten their day.

Try smiling at someone today as you pass them and enjoy the smile you get in return.

We can all make a difference one smile, square, rectangle or teddy bear at a time!

What is your favorite way to share a random act of kindness?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We would love to do it too!

Melanie's New Mohair Bears!

Happy Monday everyone!

I am so excited to introduce these 3 mohair munchkins to you!

My twin sister, Melanie, just listed them in her etsy shop!

They are 100% mohair, stuffed with polyfill and steel shot for a weighted feel, fully jointed and handmade by her with love!

Each one has a unique face created with glass eyes & hand embroidered noses and mouths.

I just adore all of her bears!

Melanie's felted bears created from upcycled sweaters always bring me joy!

This little purple cashmere cutie ships for free this week!

They remind me of little sweet candies!

What fun things did you do this weekend?

Please leave us a note and tell us all about it!

We cannot wait to hear!

Friday Funnies ~ I'm GROWING Up!

Happy Friday Everyone!

It is me ...

Archie!

I have a bone to pick with my pawrents!

Maybe you can give me some advice...

See ... I am 11 weeks old now, and I want to go on walks in the neighborhood to meet my neighbors.

They all loved my guardian Angel Emmitt, and cannot wait to greet me as I happily trot around the block.

But my pawrents say I am still too small.

Boo!

Some silliness about that I still haven't had all of my shots yet, but that I will get the A-OK from my vet soon.

In the meantime, Mom and Dad have been helping me get used to my harness and little boy leash for now.

Momma said they are like training wheels and then she showed me my bigger navy harness and red leash that are waiting for me to grow into!

I cannot wait! :)

I have been eating up my spinach so I will grow big and strong.

Well, I guess they are letting me do some fun things like letting me use my big boy doggie door.

Watch out backyard! Here I come! :)

What are you doing this weekend?

Please leave me a note and tell me all about it so I can have a list of fun things to do when I am BIG ~ sporting my navy harness. :)

Moe & The Magical Gnomes

Hi everyone!

It is me...

Moe!

I have some new magical friends to tell you about!

They are little gnomes that my mom, Melanie, just got to live in our backyard. We live in the beautiful foothills of Boulder, CO and have lots of little caves for them to explore. Each one is a different little character with either a tool or musical instrument in his hands.
I brought them all down to their new home and helped them move in.
As soon as they jumped off my back, I heard them yell yipppeeeee as they scurried into their new dwellings. I immediately heard, hammering, singing, music and pots and pans clanking as they unpacked and started to make dinner.

I think they are going to like it here!

I will keep you updated on their adventures!
