Yarn Painting - Pug Love

Hi everyone!

I just finished making another yarn painting using a photo of Emmitt this time as my subject!

First, I glued the photo of Emmitt to the wood board.

Then I started filling in the features piece by piece.

I love how it turned out.

He looks a bit like a cute curmudgeon to me!

He wants to give you a big hug!

This image is now available as both a signed print and note cards in my Etsy shop. :)

I will have another yarn painting to show you soon!

What fun things do you have planned for this last full week of August?

Please leave us a note and let us know. We cannot wait to hear all about it!

We love Emmitt's wool picture, especially his grey moustache - so distinguished!

Hi Melissa & Emmitt! The yarn painting is simply perfect! It looks just like Emmitt and I know he gives it two paws up.

I'm still traveling this week and having a great time. I'm going to use the last week of August to catch up on my sleep!

another lovely painting. your talent is so boundless! and he definitely does look like a cute curmudgeon... that is such a perfect word for this painting :]

The rest of August is so busy for everyone here! Today is my mum's 50th birthday, so JD is planning to attack his grandma with pug kisses and Ringo is already curled up with her enjoying some pancakes. Later this week we have a big party for her.

We are both sad and excited for August to be over. Sad, because I go back to school September 1st, but excited because puppies are aloud back on the beach on September 1st, and the beach is JD's favorite place!

Are you and Emmitt doing anything special?

Pug hugs for both of you!

What a great process... looks time intensive, but the end result is so vivid and cool.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh Melissa that is so awesome! Did you know Grandma Moses used to make yarn paintings? I saw them at her little schoolhouse museum in Vermont a few years back. I wanted to touch them so badly but i would have set off the alarms! hahaha
