Friday Funnies ~ Emmitt the Smart Senior Pug

Happy Friday everyone!

Emmitt here!
I have a nifty trick to share with you that gets me not only a wonderful massage every Monday with my friend Ingrid, but lots of delicious treats too!
It is called.... being a pain in the neck!
Well, their necks not mine. Heeee! See... from the moment Ingrid rings the bell, I am singing and dancing and won't sit still until they give me a pile of treats to keep me busy.
My mom and Ingrid laugh at me that at 13 1/2 years old, I refuse to stop talking and sit still for my massage unless they bribe me with lamb bones and rawhide ears.

Look at all the yummy treats they bribe me with while I get a massage!
Aren't I a smart puggy?

Ingrid says she has never met a doggie like me. All of her patients greet her at the door and then run to their dog beds with their tails wagging waiting for their massages.

They need to talk to me. I can get them that and gourmet treats too. :)

The best part of it being Friday is that Monday is only two days away!
Who says being a senior means you have to slow down? :)
What fun things do you have planned for the weekend? Please leave me a note and let me know. I would love to hear all about it!

Moe and "The Mother Bear" Bears!

Hi everyone!

Emmitt's cousin Moe here!

I am so excited! Look at all of the bears my mom, Melanie made for the Mother Bear Project!

It is our first shipment since she learned to crochet them. Here is the post about them being created.

They are so happy and cute and ready to make children smile!

Emmitt is teaching me to be an unofficial offical ambassador to the Mother Bear Project!
My lessons are every Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm sharp.
I am helping him fine tune his curriculum for his workshop in May. If he can teach these big corgi feet to dance, then you guys will all have it made in the shade!
Mini Meatloaves for everyone at the party ...um ...*workshop* :)
I am going to help put lots of cookies in the box for the bears so that they do not get hungry on their way to Africa!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Sweater Vest Sightings!

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited to show you the photos I have been receiving from pugs all over the country enjoying their sweater vests! :)

Meet Kong. He is a beautiful pug who lives in WA with his mom Gail. Many of you may know Gail's sister, Diane of Diane's Mixed Art. What a wonderful family!

Here are some pictures of Kong's sweater vest in my studio before I sent it to them. I just love the colors she chose.

The two cute pink and white sweater vests went to KS to keep Grace & Tara cozy, and a turquoise vest to keep their brother, Dante warm.

This sweetheart is Angel.
She lives in TX with her mom, Allison H.

She is 13 and Allison saved her 5 years ago when she adopted her from DFW.

Here is wonderful Stubby enjoying his vest at a Valentine's day party.

and here is sweet Tweedles waiting for Spring to arrive at her home in OR.

I cannot tell you how my heart soars everytime I see a pup enjoying their new sweater vest!
Thank you so much for sharing them with me. Please contact me anytime if you would like your very own sweater vest for your small breed dog.

They are available in 3 sizes and any color combination you would like. The sky is the limit!
I cannot wait to show you the three I am working on now. I just love the colors Paula chose for Smokey, Paisley and Bandit. ;)

More photos coming soon!

Model Train Show 2010 ~ Denver, CO

Hi everyone!

Fred and I had a fun weekend. We left the pug at home and went to Denver to see the Model Train Show.

It was huge and packed! It is so much fun to see people of all ages enjoying an art that is truly amazing.

Look at the realism people can achieve!

Here is Fred looking at a Z scale display.

Fred's model train is in HO scale and he was impressed with all the detail you can achieve in such a small space for the Z.

There was so much to see and buy that Fred decided he did not need anything right now and just wanted to see the possibilities from the models that were set up.

I totally get that. It was alot to choose from, but how can you turn down a sale on clump foliage? :)

If you missed my post on us creating trees from clump foliage last year, click here. It was so much fun!

Here is a short video on two model trains passing each other with sound and everything. :)

We had a fun day and now Fred has a lot of great ideas he wants to try on his landscape.

I will keep you posted on his progress. I think the lake complete with fisherman is next. :)

What are some of your favorite hobbies? Please let us know! We would love to hear all about it!

Have a super day everyone!

Customer Photo Gallery ~ New Additions

Sequoia with her night light!

Sequoia and Tuni with their lazy susan!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday!

I had to show you these wonderful photos that Sequoia and Tuni took with their new lazy susan and night light.

They were so sweet to share them with us. It made our whole day to see them.

Tuni told us that she thinks the first tile in the lazy susan (design A68) looks just like her and Sequoia is convinced the night light (design A16) is her portrait. :)

We are so thrilled they are enjoying them!

Please visit Tuni and Sequoia's blog and say hello! I know they would love to meet you!

They always make us smile!
Speaking of smiling... I have lots of wonderful pictures to show you this week of puggies modelling their new sweater vests from all over the country.
I love when I receive photos of your pugs and dogs. Please feel free to email them to me anytime.
I would be thrilled to post them in my Meet the Pugs section of my Newsletter, Customer Photo Gallery or Sweater Vest Gallery.
It was snowing on and off all weekend so Emmitt is feeling like he has ants in his pants. I think I had go take him for a walk now that the sun is out. What do you have planned for today?
Please leave us a comment! We would love to hear all about it!

Looky what I found when I came up to the office today!
Emmitt puggy parked in front of the space heater sound asleep.

So cute! I had to sit on the floor with him awhile this morning before I started my work day.
Fred and I hope to see Avatar this weekend. Have you seen it yet? I would love to hear your reviews!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Melanie's Crochet Projects in Progress

Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday!

Emmitt here!

I am so excited! My Auntie Melanie has been crocheting up a storm! Yup... I think she is hooked just like my mom!

As the unofficial, official Ambassador to the Mother Bear Project, I am excited to introduce Melanie's Bears in progress...

Look how fun and colorful they are!
My mom cannot believe how fast Melanie has learned how to crochet.
She just showed her how to make the arms for a few minutes this past weekend and...
Voila! In a blink of an eye, Melanie made them all arms and hands in one evening!

She is so fast that Auntie Melanie is already planning her next afghan. It is going to be one large granny square that is 47" x 47". Here is the free pattern from http://www.lionbrand.com/ .

Look at the pretty wool she just bought!

I have been busy teaching Moe how to get all tangled in the wool yarn as she crochets and to strategically sit on the ball so there is no slack!

He is a natural! It must be that fluffy Corgi butt.

If you would like to learn how to be a teddy bear ambassador for the Mother Bear Project too, I will be holding a huge party ... um... *workshop* the first week in May while my mom and Auntie are in San Diego and Seattle at the Pug Parties there.

More details to come in the coming weeks!

I am so excited! Please leave us a comment if any of your doggies or kitties would like to attend!
